Hey Beautiful!!! Lets jump right into this topic… I admit it; I dont always LOVE my Black Kinky Curly Hair. To me, Having Black Kinky Coily Trendrils is like a long term relationship. Some days are amazing and you cant tell me nothing and some days….not so much.
I don’t know about you, but my crop has a mind of its own. When i don’t moisturize my black kinky hair, It goes from curly hair to frizzy brillo pad-esque hair in a matter of a few hours. I look at it and wonder whose hair is this? Then, my hair really wants to show out as it reaches its kinky tendrils up to the sky trying to catch any moisture that may happen to be hanging out in the atmosphere. My natural hair don’t care that I have someplace i need to be like now.
Ok, so i jest a little… Truth be told, we have the most uniquely beautiful hair in the world. We can braid it, curl it, blow it out, twist it, slick it down, release it and let it do its thing. Our styles are endless. How can it not be alive? I know that people are of the belief that once hair emerges from the scalp, that it is dead. I’m personally not 100 percent convinced of that. How can our kinky, curly, coily hair be dead when such transformations can take place all in a day? I just can’t wrap my head around that. To me, dead is just that, dead. When something dies, it continues to deteriorate until its dust no matter what we do to it. I’m sorry for digressing but I feel that needed to be said.
So, back to the question at hand, Do You Always Love Your Black, Kinky, Coily Natural Hair? Always?
