Hello Beautiful!!! This is how you can do a Wash and Go on 4C Natural Hair.  First, you must learn all you can about 4c hair. Thats so important in building a successful routine on growing your hair long; however, it will require some trial and error. Some people automatically assume they have 4C hair because it is dry, breaking, not soft, and lacks curls that you may see on other womens hair. There is a good chance that this may not be true; however all hair types are beautiful and every head of hair has more than 1 type of hair.  4C hair is merely a description of one of many curl types out there. Usually it is tightly coiled, and with care and perseverance, it can be soft, bouncy and moisturized in a wash and go style.

1. Everyone with 4C hair can successfully achieve a Wash and Go.

Take some time to analyze your hair. Do NOT make comparisons to other types of hair. Thats where most people fail from the start.  Get out of the mindset that “good hair” are in the 3c category and above. I always say, all hair is good hair if its thriving and growing out of your scalp.

2. What is 4C Hair?

4C hair is beautiful with all its tight kinks and coils, and can be highly textured. It oftentimes reminds me of beautiful billowy clouds that intertwine with each other in constant movement to survive  .

3. Honestly, It really doesn’t matter what hair type you are as long as you take proper care of your tresses, that’s all that matters.

Our human brains tend to automatically sort everything and everybody, feelings, emotions, experiences  preferences and places like or similar things in a box. For some, we may have the ability to override that urge and just accept that all hair is beautiful no matter the type.

#4 Wash and Gos take patience and lots of practice.

Wash and Gos are more about technique than anything else. The most important factors are:

a solid routine/schedule,  hydration, cleansing, deep conditioning, low manipulation, and more, are important to grow your hair longer and achieve healthier hair.  .

#5 Hydrating your hair begins in the shower.

Successful wash and gos always begin and end in the shower. The steam will open up closed cuticles so that you can thoroughly cleanse and detoxify your hair and scalp with my Cbabes Moisturizing Shampoo Bar. Give your hair a vigorous shake up and down, side to side to separate your curls. Make sure your hair is exactly the way you want it.  Turn off the shower. You may prefer to then bend at the waist and diffuse your curls with a blow dryer to speed up the drying time or simply allow your hair to air dry. Your hair will shrink, and thats great because its telling you that it has all the moisture and care it needs.
